Findon Damascus Steel Bevel Wedding Ring

Clean, linear Damascus grain and defined angled edges make the Findon Bevel a distinctive alternative wedding ring. The bevelled profile gives the band a crisp outline, while the untwisted steel pattern provides a quieter, more directional look than the swirling grain found in many Damascus rings.

Graeme makes every Findon Bevel ring to order in our Aberdeenshire workshop, with your choice of width, finish and engraving.

Straight-grained Findon Damascus steel

Findon shows the layers of Damascus steel without the twist used for patterns such as Crynoch. Etching brings out lines that run more directly around the band, with natural changes in their width and spacing. The grain is never perfectly identical from one ring to another, because it comes from the structure of the steel itself.

Findon is a good choice if you want a patterned steel wedding band but prefer linear detail over circular or tightly twisted designs. You can compare it with Esk, Bervie, Crynoch, Dee and Cowie in our Damascus Steel Pattern Guide.

What does a bevelled profile look like?

The Bevel profile uses angled edges to frame the central patterned surface. Those edges catch light differently from the main face, giving the ring a defined shape without adding another material. Compared with the softly rounded Findon Court, this version feels more geometric and contemporary. Both share the same characteristic Findon grain.

Handmade in our Scottish workshop

Graeme machines the band from layered 304L and 316L stainless steels, etches it to reveal the grain and completes the finish by hand. Each ring is made to your selected size, width and finish. The Damascus pattern is formed within the steel, rather than printed onto its surface.

Choose a polished or satin finish

Polished steel gives brighter reflections along the bevelled edges and across the grain. Satin produces a softer brushed appearance while keeping the linear pattern visible. Choose whichever finish best suits the look you want.

Important information about engraving

Standard internal engraving is included if selected. Choosing engraving means we polish away the etched Damascus pattern on the inside of the band to provide a smooth surface for your inscription. The outside retains its etched Findon pattern.

Ordering & Making Your Ring

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?

There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. You can compare all options in our Alternative Metal Wedding Rings Guide.

What is the thickness of the ring?

Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.

How can I check my size before ordering?

There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
We’ll confirm any sizing details with you before we begin

What happens after I place my order?

After you order, we review your details and begin crafting your ring. If anything needs clarifying, we’ll contact you directly. Once complete, your ring is carefully packaged and sent via tracked UK delivery. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as it’s dispatched.

How long does it take to make a ring?

Most rings are ready within 2–3 weeks, but we recommend allowing 4 weeks before your wedding. Need it faster? Just let us know.

Is engraving included?

Engraving is always free. We can add names, dates, or even your own handwriting inside your wedding ring. To know more about handwriting engraving, take a look at this blog. . If the option is showing on the product listing, it is engravable.

Who actually makes my ring?

Every ring is made to order in our Scottish workshop by hand by Graeme, or G as he is known. We don’t outsource production or hold bulk stock. Your ring is crafted individually once your order is placed, then finished, checked and prepared for dispatch.

What are your return policies?

Because each ring is made to order in your chosen size and finish, returns are not available once production begins. We provide a complimentary ring sizer before crafting to ensure a confident fit.
