Slim Damascus Steel Wedding Ring

Love the detail of Damascus steel but prefer a narrower band? Our Slim Damascus Steel Ring brings the distinctive layered pattern into a delicate, understated design. Available in 2mm, 2.5mm and 3mm widths, it is an alternative to a traditional wider wedding ring and a lovely choice for anyone who prefers finer jewellery.

Each slim Damascus band is made to order by Graeme in our Aberdeenshire workshop, with your choice of pattern, width, profile and finish.

Damascus steel in a slimmer width

The narrower proportions give this ring a lighter visual presence while still showing the grain of the layered steel. It works beautifully as a slim wedding band, a simple everyday ring or alongside other rings as part of a stack. Choose from 2mm, 2.5mm or 3mm to suit your hand and the look you want to achieve.

Choose from six Damascus patterns

Our six patterns each offer a different character, even on a slim band. Findon has straighter, linear grain; Crynoch has gentle flowing twists; Esk offers fine, closely packed detail; and Bervie is our most condensed pattern. Dee features irregular circular formations, while Cowie has more structured concentric circles.

The patterns are revealed by etching the layered steel rather than printing a design onto the surface. Each ring has natural variation. For photographs and a closer comparison, see our Damascus Steel Pattern Guide.

Court or Flat profile

Choose a Court profile for a softly rounded, traditional silhouette or a Flat profile for cleaner, straighter lines. Both have a comfort-fit interior. On a narrower ring, the profile is a subtle detail that helps determine the overall shape and feel of the band.

Polished or satin finish

A polished finish creates brighter reflections across the patterned surface. Satin offers a softer, brushed appearance while keeping the Damascus grain visible. Both are available to complement your chosen pattern and profile.

Made by Graeme in Scotland

Graeme machines each slim ring from layered 304L and 316L stainless steels, etches the surface to reveal the grain and completes the finish by hand. Your ring is made to your selected size and specifications in our Scottish workshop.

Engraving and the inside of your ring

Standard internal engraving is included if selected. If you choose engraving, we polish away the etched Damascus pattern on the inside of the band to create a smooth surface for your inscription. The exterior pattern remains unchanged.

Sizing, delivery and care

A free ring sizer is available so you can check your size before making begins. Free tracked UK delivery is included. Clean your ring gently with mild soap and warm water, then dry with a soft cloth.

Ordering & Making Your Ring

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?

There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. You can compare all options in our Alternative Metal Wedding Rings Guide.

What is the thickness of the ring?

Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.

How can I check my size before ordering?

There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
We’ll confirm any sizing details with you before we begin

What happens after I place my order?

After you order, we review your details and begin crafting your ring. If anything needs clarifying, we’ll contact you directly. Once complete, your ring is carefully packaged and sent via tracked UK delivery. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as it’s dispatched.

How long does it take to make a ring?

Most rings are ready within 2–3 weeks, but we recommend allowing 4 weeks before your wedding. Need it faster? Just let us know.

Is engraving included?

Engraving is always free. We can add names, dates, or even your own handwriting inside your wedding ring. To know more about handwriting engraving, take a look at this blog. . If the option is showing on the product listing, it is engravable.

Who actually makes my ring?

Every ring is made to order in our Scottish workshop by hand by Graeme, or G as he is known. We don’t outsource production or hold bulk stock. Your ring is crafted individually once your order is placed, then finished, checked and prepared for dispatch.

What are your return policies?

Because each ring is made to order in your chosen size and finish, returns are not available once production begins. We provide a complimentary ring sizer before crafting to ensure a confident fit.
