Titanium Dinosaur Fossil Inlay Ring

Wear a small piece of prehistoric history in a titanium ring made especially for you. Our Titanium Dinosaur Fossil Inlay Ring combines genuine fossil material with a clean, contemporary metal band, bringing together natural history and handmade craftsmanship in our Aberdeenshire workshop.

Choose from a range of fossil materials, select a fine 1mm or wider 2mm inlay and personalise the design with optional copper, silver or 24ct gold flakes. Graeme makes the titanium ring, while Katie prepares the fossil material and creates the inlay by hand.

Genuine fossil material, millions of years in the making

Fossil bone and tooth material has a character unlike ordinary stone. Over immense periods of time, minerals can replace or fill the original material, preserving traces of its structure and creating distinctive colours and patterns. The appearance of each fragment depends on the fossil and the conditions in which it was preserved.

Our fossil options include prehistoric animals from different periods and locations, so you can choose the history that interests you most.

Choose your fossil

Unidentified Isle of Wight Dinosaur Fossil (approximately 125 million years old): Genuine dinosaur fossil fragments from one of Britain's best-known dinosaur locations. The precise species cannot be identified from these fragments, making this a choice for someone who loves the prehistoric history of the Isle of Wight.

Iguanodon – Isle of Wight (approximately 125 million years old): Fossil material associated with one of the earliest dinosaurs to be scientifically described. Iguanodon is especially well known for its distinctive thumb spike.

Triceratops – Dakota, USA (approximately 68 million years old): A Late Cretaceous dinosaur recognised by its three horns and broad frill. This option connects the ring to one of the most recognisable herbivorous dinosaurs.

Tyrannosaurus rex (T. rex) – Montana, USA (approximately 66–72 million years old; +£40): A premium fossil choice associated with the famous Late Cretaceous predator. Its material offers a particularly striking connection to prehistoric North America.

Velociraptor – specialist fossil option: Listed among our specialist fossil options for customers drawn to smaller predatory dinosaurs. Please contact us to confirm the available material and its provenance before ordering.

Spinosaurus Tooth – Morocco (approximately 95–100 million years old; +£40): Tooth fossil material from a remarkable large predatory dinosaur associated with ancient waterways. Spinosaurus material can show warm brown, amber and bronze tones, depending on the individual fragment.

Woolly Mammoth Molar – Russia (approximately 10,000–30,000 years old): An Ice Age option rather than a dinosaur fossil. Mammoth molar material can show naturally layered structure and offers a connection to a much more recent chapter of prehistoric life.

Megalodon Tooth – Florida, USA (listed at approximately 3.6 million years old; +£40): Another non-dinosaur option, from the enormous prehistoric shark. Tooth fragments can display fascinating mineral colours and natural detail.

T. rex, Megalodon Tooth and Spinosaurus Tooth each carry a £40 upgrade. Choose your fossil from the available product options.

Choose a 1mm or 2mm fossil inlay

The 1mm channel creates a narrow line of fossil material across the titanium band. Choose the 2mm channel for a more prominent inlay that gives the fossil's colour and texture more space to show.

Katie carefully prepares the selected fossil fragments, arranges them within the channel and seals the inlay beneath clear resin. The finished surface is smooth, with the ancient material visible below. As every fragment is different, the exact colours and arrangement will vary between rings.

Optional copper, silver and 24ct gold accents

Optional copper, 925 silver, palladium or 24ct gold flakes can be added alongside the fossil material for a touch of metallic contrast. Choose your preferred accent in the product options, or leave the fossil inlay without flakes.

Made to order in Scotland

Graeme machines the titanium band to your selected size and prepares the inlay channel. Katie then completes the fossil inlay by hand in our Scottish workshop. Titanium offers a lightweight feel and a clean contrast to the natural tones of the fossil. Select your preferred band width, finish and engraving through the available product options.

Engraving, sizing and delivery

Standard internal engraving is included if selected. For handwriting engraving, please contact us first to check suitability. A free ring sizer is available to help confirm your size before making begins, and free tracked UK delivery is included with your order.

Caring for your fossil inlay ring

Clean gently with mild soap and warm water, then dry with a soft cloth. The fossil fragments are sealed beneath a smooth, clear inlay finish.

Ordering & Making Your Ring

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?

There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. You can compare all options in our Alternative Metal Wedding Rings Guide.

What is the thickness of the ring?

Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.

How can I check my size before ordering?

There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
We’ll confirm any sizing details with you before we begin

What happens after I place my order?

After you order, we review your details and begin crafting your ring. If anything needs clarifying, we’ll contact you directly. Once complete, your ring is carefully packaged and sent via tracked UK delivery. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as it’s dispatched.

How long does it take to make a ring?

Most rings are ready within 2–3 weeks, but we recommend allowing 4 weeks before your wedding. Need it faster? Just let us know.

Is engraving included?

Engraving is always free. We can add names, dates, or even your own handwriting inside your wedding ring. To know more about handwriting engraving, take a look at this blog. . If the option is showing on the product listing, it is engravable.

Who actually makes my ring?

Every ring is made to order in our Scottish workshop by hand by Graeme, or G as he is known. We don’t outsource production or hold bulk stock. Your ring is crafted individually once your order is placed, then finished, checked and prepared for dispatch.

What are your return policies?

Because each ring is made to order in your chosen size and finish, returns are not available once production begins. We provide a complimentary ring sizer before crafting to ensure a confident fit.

A Very Happy Couple With Beautiful Rings

The service, design, quality are truly impressive. We were looking for unique rings and that’s what we got. My husband is over the moon to be carrying a dinosaur fossil with him.
Even though we received ring sizer I still managed to get my size wrong, but the solution was provided swiftly. Couldn’t recommend it more!
